Description
Offered here is a vintage Arvin forced air art deco heater in excellent condition. The paint is in excellent condition with just a few nicks. The chrome grill is shiny and it runs and heats like it was originally designed. This heater is model # 203 and has a date stamp on the bottom of Jan 13,1947. This is a great example of a post war heater that was used in any room of the house and its Art Deco design is typical of some of the buildings and furnishings used at that time. I got it from an estate sale and have replaced the cord, switch, and light bulb. This all necessitated the disassembly and thorough cleaning. The fan and the coils work as designed. A note of caution is in order. While this heater can be used as originally intended, it lacks any of the safety features of the space heaters that are manufactured and used today. It is metal and gets very hot after it has been on a while and does not have "tip over" protection so anyone who uses it should be aware. The intent here is to show an example of a heater that was used over 75 years go. It definitely should not be used around children.
